I ordered a down parka on sale and was looking forward to wearing it this winter. I ordered Nov 21 and it was shipped Nov 28. I called about December 11 and was told to call back on the 13, I called on the 15 and they couldn’t track the order. Today, December 20, they tell me the package was lost in transit. The original email said it was shipped by UPS, today I was told it went by Fed Ex. Terrible customer service,

Useless foreign customer service and beware of being scammed!

According to my tracking number my package was supposedly delivered on the morning of December 18, 2022. It was no where to be found within the apartment building and so I initiated a live chat with “customer service”. They informed me I had to wait until January 2 to see if my parcel arrives! It was a Christmas present.the next morning I called Customer Service and someone in the Philippines gave me the same spiel with many insincere apologies. I requested to speak to her supervisor who naturally was not available nor could call me back. Why could the rep not contact the delivery service ( which I had to pay extra for) and check where parcel was left? I asked for the number of the delivery service and she gave me a number which was no longer in service. Poor communication, very poor customer service and I have been scammed by Eddie Bauer!

Eddie Bauer Online …a trip back in time 25 years

Eddie Bauer Online is like going back in time 25 years. Placed an online order and used paypal checkout. Paypal seemed to work but when it should have returned me to the site, it logged me out instead. I tried an online chat to see if the order was placed. Was put into a circular chat mess for 30 min. After trying to confirm the order myself and getting all kinds of crazy error messages, the “customer support” person said the order was placed. My confidence is low. If you really need a reliable shopping source, Eddie Bauer online is not that.

Extremely poor customer service/timeliness of delivery

I placed an order on 12/12 for pre-Christmas delivery. The order confirmation stated I would receive an e-mail when item shipped. No e-mail was received. I called them 12/15 to determine status and was hung up on after waiting to talk to representative. I spoke to another representative on 12/16 who said item had shipped 12/15 but they had no information on date of delivery and that it would take 7-11 business days so it won’t arrive by Christmas. I spoke to supervisor who was on no help. Eddie Bauer uses offshore phone representatives and they are VERY poorly trained! I won’t order from Eddie Bauer again.

Received a gift and wanted to exchange…

Received a gift and wanted to exchange it. Called customer service and the rep was very hard to understand (English was poor and he needs support to improve his communication skills). When I spoke with him, I was told that I could not exchange an item, but needed to return the first item and then order something else. He started the process for a return label. Later, I spoke to another rep who said that the first rep should have done an exchange but that since the return process was started, it was too late. Very disappointed. Was my first experience with this company; their products may be fine but their customer service was poor.

I was just at Eddie Bauer outlet store and lady at the register was very rude. When I asked her if 10% off merchandise I got on my text msg would work on what I was purchasing? She loudly said “No”! This is the worst online ordering…

This is the worst online ordering experience I have ever encountered. I contacted them 3 times and received 3 different answers, plus no one speaks a lick of English! I fill like I have been hacked. They already charged my card before the item shipped, that was ordered 13 days ago. The link on my shipping confirmation does not work. Just horrible. DO NOT order from them ever.

My mistake was thinking eddie bauer is a trustworthy company. Their customer service is a joke. I have been two weeks trying to recieve a return label as the website glitched and i could not generate one on my own. And all they can manage to tell me is to check my junk folder. When I have explained numerous times that i have not recieved any label. I am an inch away from opening a BBB claim because they are sincerely withholding my return/ money, during the holidays as well. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! It is not worth it.

Stay far away.

Do. Not. Buy. From. Them.

Placed an order for a coat, it never came. Every time I contacted them they would tell me to wait longer and if it didn’t come to call back. They had provided me with a shipping number but the package never left the facility according to it, but no one cares. Finally after weeks, they said they could cancel and refund my order and I could buy the same thing again. Really? I’ve waited weeks for a coat, and you want me to go through that again? They didn’t even offer a discount. To top it off, when I pushed back (firmly but politely) on the chat customer service rep, he just abandoned my chat and stopped responding.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Stay away.

based on complaints I’ve read and my own experience with customer service, I wanted to delete my online profile, as I will not be purchasing anything from them again. They said they don’t deactivate or delete profiles. They just pause then. Now I’m not an expert, but isn’t that illegal to refuse to remove customer personal data if the customer requests it to be removed?

Never buy from their online store. Unless you buy stuff seasons earlier. At this rate I’ll get my winter jacket in summer.

Partners with the worst fulfillment company: Landmark Global. No updates from either parties for weeks, Eddie Bauer does’t care once they get payment and is “shipped” from their end. Even the customer service reps have no update nor tracking data.

No item, no cancelation, no help

I ordered an item for a Christmas present and it simply hasn’t shipped in 3 weeks, every time I contact customer service, it takes then an unreasonable amount of time to locate my order. Then they just give me shipping dates further and further out. I asked them to cancel the order, and Woah! They apparently “can’t ” do that. Each rep I was in contact with gave me different information- so I have a feeling they dont know anything. They are working from home and there is a bunch of noise in the background so i dont think they’re really working on it. So no item, no help, no refund. Nothing except my payment.

The worst customer service system

The worst customer service system. They have hired UnIntelligible folks to attend your call who lack basic communication skills. Possibly the worst people that could work in customer service based out of some foreign country .
Talking about the online order as such , it’s so messed up that no one knows about my order . The tracking system says the package has been delivered but I haven’t received it yet.

A total nightmare

A total nightmare! I still have not been able to return my item after weeks of speaking to customer service. Fedex called me today to say that the return-label address does not exist and my return is in limbo. What a screw-up! I don’t think I will ever get my money back. I should have read the reviews here first but I had always thought of Eddie Bauer as a reputable company. IT IS NOT! It is a joke. Don’t waste your time and money — don’t buy from them. And as everyone else said, the Philippines-based customer service is almost laughingly bad — like a television parody. Except it isn’t really funny. It’s just plain annoying and frustrating. Eddie Bauer should be apologizing profusely to all of its mistreated customers.

Ordering Online

At the same time I like the quality and items that Eddie Bauer sells, I greatly dislike their customer service. My experience ordering online from this company has been awful.

This is the second time I have an issue with my order. I decided to give it a try for a second time, but I received my order with a missing item.

Forget about trying to contact them over the phone. It is a very long waiting time.

For this reason, I do not recommend ordering online through Eddie Bauer. I have learned my lesson.

Beware of the many discounts. Not always honored.

Be very very leary of the many discounts offered by this company for online shopping. Smoke and mirrors when it comes to actually getting the advertised discount. I took screenshots of all of my items with discounts printed in red. They did not honor them in the order. Was on the phone for an hour trying to fix it. Nearly two hours placing the order because of discount confusion.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and she is sending a gift card for the difference. So that is something. My message here…order over the phone and have the operator state your discounted price out loud before you step into the snare. Do not trust online purchases for any of the discounts you saw advertised. The software works in THEIR FAVOR.

I am so disappointed as I have been a EB customer since 1994. I respected them until now. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Terrible customer Service

Terrible Customer Service. A long wait on telephone was rewarded by an unintelligible speaker. I finally called the closest store which is out of state.I ordered a hoodie and got a gigantic pair of denim jeans. The fellow at the store indicated I could mail the package to him after getting the return label. I will not shop this brand again. He told me the customer service phone lines are answered in the Philippines.
