Palm Springs International Airport is open twenty-four hours a day. The TSA checkpoint opens approximately one and a half hours before the first departure of the day. Each airline has its own operating hours, but typically, airlines open their ticket counters 2 hours before departure time, even for early morning flights.

Parking
General Parking
Drivers may only stop curbside at the airport in designated areas to pick up and drop off passengers in the least amount of time. For security reasons, vehicles may not be left unattended curbside and drivers are not allowed to park and wait in their vehicles.
Our main parking lot is located conveniently across from the terminal building. This lot accommodates all vehicles, including RVs (use the entrance across from the Vehicle Inspection Plaza/Section D on the below map). Vehicles, including RVs, are not allowed to park for excessive amounts of time. There are no separate lots for short-term or long-term parking. During times of high demand, our overflow lot on Kirk Douglas Way will be opened and terminal shuttle service will be provided, and large/oversized vehicles and RVs may be directed to park in the overflow lot.
The Overflow Parking Lot will open at 4:15 AM on Monday, December 19 and will remain open through December 25 for those flying out. This lot is only available to those parking overnight and paying with a credit card. Shuttles will operate from 4:15 AM until the last departure on December 25. Starting December 26, shuttles will operate from 8:30AM until the last arrival of the day through Monday, January 2. Look for the white shuttle bus with the ABM logo to catch your ride to/from the terminal.
In the event that the main lot reaches capacity, at anytime, our overflow parking lot will be opened and signage will be placed along airport roadways to direct travelers to this lot.

There are three locations available in the terminal beyond the security checkpoint. Two are located in the Bono Concourse (Gates 4-11) Desert News and Desert Mart, and the third, CNBC, is located in the Regional Concourse (Gates 12-20). All locations offer a wide selection of magazines, books, snacks, drinks, and those things travelers sometimes forget to pack such as a hairbrush and/or comb, lip balm and other sundries. Also, there is an excellent selection of souvenir items available at each of the locations.
Desert Marketplace / Brighton
This retail shop offers the finest selection of gift items available at Palm Springs International Airport. Much of the inventory is in the Desert Southwest style. Casual wear, jewelry, historical books, spa-quality skin products, souvenirs bearing the Palm Springs name, and much more are on display. Located in the Bono Concourse (Gates 4-11).

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served with something on the menu to please everyone!
PSP Coffee House
The PSP Coffee House is located in the Bono Courtyard beyond the security checkpoint and serves hot beverages and a variety of pastries.

USO
United Service Organization (USO) / Military
The USO is open with COVID safety protocols from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. everyday.
The PSP USO Service Center works everyday to assist American military personnel and their families. It ensures travelers have a safe and comfortable place to relax while awaiting flights to foreign destinations, or transportation to the TwentyNine Palms Marine Corps Base. The USO volunteer staff is happy to provide assistance selecting hotels, restaurants, local entertainment, and transportation options.
The USO Center television lounge offers a large library of current and classic films on DVD and video, internet-connected computers for e-mail, web surfing and computer games, a fully stocked snack bar with “GI approved comfort foods”, a lending library of books, newspapers, magazines, and more. All services are free of charge to the troops, their families and retired military personnel.

On January 1, 2018, the State of California modified its marijuana laws allowing certain persons the ability to possess marijuana (cannabis) in limited quantities. The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) is responsible for enforcing California law and City ordinances at the Palm Springs International Airport.
